Why do we encourage people to become members?
We like to think that the main difference between a ‘casual attendee’ and a ‘Member’ can be summed up in a few words - “commitment to family”.
Our Church’s vision is to operate as a family made up of Members who are committed to Christ’s call on our lives, including to love and support our Church family and reach out to Hervey Bay and beyond, introducing people to His saving grace, here and abroad.
We aim to live the words of 1 John 4:11 ‘My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other’ and 1 John 3:18 ‘ …so let’s not just talk about love, let’s practice real love’.
Practical ways we support one another are through
- meeting regularly during the week in ‘Life Groups’ where we ‘live life together’ outside of Church
- being involved in important decisions that shape our Church such as, annual Church meetings to discuss future plans, review the year that was, review finances and appoint Elders or new pastors
- volunteer in ministry areas that we feel called to serve in.
Please join us on our journey together, as we live the vision to 'see lives and families transformed as we all live out the ways of Jesus'.
